Responsibilities:
- Oversee all financial aspects of assigned projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and contractual obligations.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets, providing regular variance analysis and forecasting.
- Track project costs diligently, identifying potential overruns and working with project managers to implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and process project-related invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper documentation and client billing.
- Apply relevant accounting principles to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition for projects.
- Generate comprehensive and insightful project financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to project finances.
- Ensure project financial activities comply with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to provide financial insights and support project decision-making.
- Investigate and resolve project-related financial discrepancies and issues efficiently.
- Maintain organized and accurate project financial records.
- Identify opportunities to improve project accounting processes and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
- More than 5 years of experience in a finance leadership role, preferably with exposure to business partnering or consulting.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience in identifying and assessing new business opportunities is a strong advantage.
