Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary:

  • Responsible for the functionality of finance department by overseeing, planning and managing the full spectrum of the finance functions and activities and personnel of the Finance of the group of Companies.

 

Responsibilities:

Full spectrum of Finance, Reporting & Treasury functions

  • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long terms strategic financial objectives.
  • Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Ensure a strong operational finance system in place for the company. Take hands-on lead position of developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive costing system.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Evaluates and advises on the impact of long terms planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
  • Provide executive & management with advice on the financial implications of business activities. Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company.
  • Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
  • Ensure accountability, improvement and security of the business processes SOP,
  • Accounting system processes and control. Ensuring strong operational finance system in place for the Company and effective internal controls are in place.
  • Liaise with the external auditors and oversee the auditing procedures in mitigating risk and exposure by conducting periodic processes due diligence.
  • Prepare tax planning, tax incentives and liaison with the tax authorities on all business taxes.
  • Liaise with MITI, MIDA and relevant authorities on the government grant program for the new business project.
  • Work with the Advisors for preparation of corporate proposal(s), circular, review Agreement and Proposal(s), if any.
  • Perform periodic review on banking facilities and advise the Directors accordingly.

 

 

Legal matters

  • Overseeing the legal documents such as agreements, memorandum of understanding (MOU) by liaising with legal advisors to mitigate business and commercial risks.

 

Investors Relation

  • Work closely with Investor Relations to ensure regular meetings with analysts/ fund managers for latest business development updates including but not limited to quarterly result briefings.

 

Corporate Exercise

  • Overseeing and liaising with advisors, consultants, financiers etc for the potential fundings, projections, intended offer price etc.

 

Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of demonstrated relevant finance and accounting experience, with at least five years’ experience as a General Manager or Head of Finance, with both technical and management proficiency in operations of a manufacturing organization
  • Other additional relevant advanced degree and/or certification, such as a CFA or CPA CFA, CPA preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with manufacturing accounting and finance, preferably in listed corporation will be essential.
  • Use of collaborative and facilitative approach and the flexibility to work with broad range of cultures, personalities, and work styles.
  • Ability to demonstrate the greatest level of flexibility in an environment with frequent changing priorities required to meet the needs of Company’s internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrated experience with design and implementation of enhanced financial systems and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare clear, accurate, well-organized written and financial reports and to communicate verbally in an effective and concise manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and related accounting software programs.
