Head Constructions

Responsibilities:

Constructions

  • Provide effective guidance and regularly monitor & review with Project Unit Leaders, and to ensure all project planning are effectively executed.
  • Monitor all level of works in progress and materials on site by working closely with Project Unit Leaders and site administration.
  • Coordinate with contract department/division on the appointment of suitable sub -contractors and suppliers to ensure adequate resources and expertise are engaged to achieve required works with accepted quality and within agreed timeframe.
  • Ensure all departmental related matters are being handled and resolved diligently. Ensure site management has full understanding of policy and procedures (SOPs) for project completion.
  • Initiate and organize meetings with various parties to keep the site management team fully informed of current site issues and assist to resolve site issues by providing sound advice and support.

 

Project Budget Control

  • Ensure Project Unit Leaders to have full awareness of site budget and monthly valuations carried out on each project.
  • Coach and ensure the site management team for effective project cost and budgetary control and prevent wastage throughout the construction processes.

 

Project Quality Plan

  • Ensure that all project quality control procedures are being adhered at site level and that the standards of quality are being achieved and reflected in good Audit results.
  • Conduct review to the services rendered to the client/customers, to ensure Project Unit Leaders able to deliver the highest standard of customer satisfaction. Ensure fully aware of customer survey results and discuss with the relevant site team members picking up on any trends, both positive and negative.
  • Comply with responsibilities as laid down in the Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy in order to ensure a safe working environment for employed, sub-contractors and members of the public.

 

Departmental Human Resources Planning

  • Ensure all site staffs are fully aware of the latest company policy, direction and developments.
  • Assist in recruitment of site management staff, and to ensure the right quality and caliber of staff are recruited. To resolve all the site HRA matters in accordance with the company policy and procedures.
  • Lead, motivate, communicate with, develop, appraise and performance manage staff to ensure they are fully motivated to achieve best performance to meet the company’s needs.
  • Build effective working environment, be a strong team player and team builder to ensure all site team members are working harmonically and have strong spirit to deliver.
  • Ensure that poor performance is not tolerated and is remedied via support, training or disciplinary action as appropriate.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering/ Construction Management or equivalent.
  • At least 10-15 years working experience in relevant field.
  • Has good connection with local authorities across nation.
  • Experience in construction of high-rise buildings is an added advantage with green building index exposures.
  • General knowledge on rules and guidelines on property industry.
  • Has strong management and good decision-making skills.
  • Able to lead and manage the relevant teams to achieve company’s goals & objectives.
  • Possess strong business acumen to manage business units to achieve projected revenue & profitability with effective cost management.
