Job Summary:
- The Head of Finance & Administration is responsible for leading and managing the financial and administrative operations of the property development company. This role oversees strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, regulatory compliance, general administration, and corporate governance functions. The GM will provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making and ensure the company’s operational and financial health aligns with the company’s growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
Finance & Accounting
- Oversee financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, audit, and reporting.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and controls to support corporate goals.
- Prepare timely and accurate management and statutory reports, including profit & loss, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Monitor project budgets, costing, and financial performance across multiple development projects.
- Manage banking relationships and ensure optimal cash flow, funding, and treasury management.
- Ensure to conduct internal and external audits, settlement of audit observations and audit recommendations are complied with and implemented progressively.
- Evaluate financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Administration
- Oversee the administration team and ensure the smooth functioning of office operations.
- Lead initiatives to improve administrative efficiency and operational support to other departments.
- Procurement & Contracts:
- Develop procurement strategies and ensure adherence to cost-effective and compliant purchasing processes.
- Review and approve major vendor contracts, service agreements, and key procurement decisions.
- Strategic & Leadership Role:
- Serve as a key member of the executive team to develop and execute business strategy.
- Provide financial and administrative leadership to support project feasibility, investor engagement, and risk management.
- Drive continuous improvement, digital transformation, and process enhancements across finance and administrative functions.
- Mentor and lead the Finance & Admin teams, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and professional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Strong background in property development, construction, or the real estate industry preferred.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, project budgeting, and cost control.
- Sound knowledge of tax laws, financial regulations, HR practices, and corporate governance.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High integrity, strategic thinking, and hands-on operational capability.
