Manager/ Senior Manager Corporate Communications

Responsibilities:

  • Provide company with the necessary positive visibility to attract business and increase its market share.
  • Handling areas such as Corporate Image and Branding, Public Relation Management, Media Communications and Departmental Affairs.
  • Evaluates, plans, develops and implements group corporate communications, image building, branding guideline and public relations strategies & programs.
  • Collates, analyses and leverage on media coverage including press releases, speeches, corporate gifts, creative collaterals such as festive Greetings Advertisement (CNY, Hari Raya, Deepavali, National Day, Christmas, Sultan’s Birthday & etc).
  • Setup a standard guideline for corporate identity (C.I) across the company.
  • Coordinates in Crisis Management team with the Senior Management and Founder to execute appropriate response plans in managing reputational risks.

 

Media engagement

  • Organize regular sessions with selected media personalities for senior management
  • Organize briefings on new projects for journalists
  • Organize tours to new project sites and show units for journalists
  • Propose appropriate response to queries from the media
  • Draft press releases on new launches

 

Managing website, social media & blogs

  • Monitor blogs and social media for comments on SDB
  • Draft appropriate responses to comments on social media where necessary
  • Create content for SDB’s social media page on the Internet
  • Update SDB’s social media page regularly with new information
  • Monitor SDB website and upload updates where necessary

 

Managing award submissions

  • Keep track of all industry and business awards
  • Organize and manage submissions for awards
  • Managing administrative work

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mass Communication/Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience within corporate communication role with at least 5 years in the property industry.
  • A good command of the English language is essential
  • Being fairly proficient in Malay and Mandarin will be an advantage
  • Ability to write news reports fairly well
  • Good with research
  • Extremely professional, outgoing individual with a positive attitude who is willing to take on new projects when needed and motivated to work in a dynamically changing environment.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritise, delivering on multiple concurrent project and proactively seek information needed to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage corporate media relations, crisis management and corporate social responsibility efforts.
