Assistant Manager Human Resources

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in strategic planning activities with Senior Management to define short and long term HR strategies and manpower plan according to the Company’s direction and operating environment.
  • Develop and implement appropriate HR strategies and manpower that will contribute to sustainable advantage and growth through utilization of resources and skill and enhancement of talented staff.
  • Ensure timely recruitment and retention of highly competent and motivated workforce to meet business needs, both present and future.
  • Ensure the Group’s compensation package in terms of staff salaries and benefits in line with internal compensation strategies and external market conditions.
  • Implement talent management strategies to attract, develop and retain competent staff for key positions.
  • Identify and develop second liners with high leadership potential for key positions to create leadership pipeline.
  • Develop and communicate management advice and guidance to ensure successful implementation of HR strategies.
  • Develop clear communication plans to support change and create awareness to staff on any new HR initiatives.
  • Maintain best practice HR policies and procedures that comply fully with statutory requirements. Proactively ensure policies and procedures are implemented and practiced across the Group including resorts and nursing college.
  • Provide support in managing manpower, organizational development, compensation and benefits and industrial relations.
  • Support Senior Management in providing effective training and provide recommendation for appropriate training programs as part of retaining talent.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree or Professional qualifications in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience in HR function with at least 8 years at senior managerial level in any established, multinational or listed company with large staff force.
  • Has experience managing around 20-30 employees scale of organization setup.
  • Sound knowledge of Malaysian human resource and industrial relations practice and governance rules and regulations.
  • Dynamic and tactful personality with strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, keen to motivate and effectively educate and connect department managers and employees regarding all HR matters.
