Chief Financial Officer (Property Development)

Responsibilities:

Control and enhance the Group’s financial and operational resources, including development of benchmarks that use external best-practice reference points to

  • Monitor on-going financial and cost performance
  • Anticipate future challenges and opportunities in advance
  • Respond to these challenges and opportunities in a strategic way.
  • Enlarge and sustain the Group’s financial base and other corporate resources to facilitate the Group’s expansion.
  • Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the Group.
  • Develop finance organizational strategies by contributing financial and accounting information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction.
  • Devising and implementing best practice business processes for effective financial management.
  • Oversee the investment of funds and manage associated risks.
  • Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
  • Ensure credibility of Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
  • Evaluate and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs, strategies and regulatory action.
  • Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
  • Execute capital-raising strategies to support Group’s expansion.
  • Oversee and participate in feasibility studies and due diligence on potential investment and development projects, acquisition of new land bank, organization budget, determining cost effectiveness of respective development projects and its execution, to advise on the investment impact to the group cash and profit position.
  • Plan and execute risk management as a practice of creating economic value by using financial instruments to manage risk exposure, particularly credit risk and market risk.
  • Preparation of financial evaluation / capital budgeting decision models for business capital expenditure decisions.
  • Financial modelling, tax planning analysis and presentation of findings to senior stakeholders and executive team.
  • Managing strategic projects and building, developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
  • Professional Qualification and/or MIA qualification (membership) and working experiences in property development & construction industry, particularly in the fields of group accounts, reporting, corporate banking and corporate finance.
  • Knowledge of Consolidation, MFRS, IFRS, Corporate Reporting, Bursa’s Main Market Listing Requirements, and analytical review, relationship management, negotiation skills, time management, multi-tasking and experiences in working under strict deadline and pressure.
  • Able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin will be essential.
  • At least 15-20 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Mature, self-motivated and able to work independently with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess a good supervisory, planning, organizing and leadership skills.
  • Committed, dynamic, enthusiastic and able to work under pressure.
  • Possess strong sense of responsibility, integrity and result oriented
