Responsibilities:
Contract Management
- Review, draft, and negotiate construction contracts, subcontract agreements, and change orders.
- Ensure contracts accurately reflect project scope, specifications, timelines, and cost estimates.
- Monitor and manage contract compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Resolve contract-related disputes and claims in collaboration with claim consultants or legal counsel.
Budget and Cost Control
- Work closely with project managers to track project costs against budget.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favourable terms with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and report on project financial performance to senior management.
Risk Management
- Identify potential risks in contracts and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Implement risk management processes to safeguard project interests.
Communication and Collaboration
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to promote project success.
- Coordinate with legal counsel and other relevant departments when needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all contracts, change orders, and correspondence. Ensure the proper filing and retention of contract-related documentation.
Supplier Performance Evaluation
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations.
- Conduct performance reviews and address any issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management or other relevant discipline
- 7-10 Year(s) experience in contract and supply management
- Good command of English, Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Expert in drafting, negotiating, executing and managing contracts/service agreements
- Excellent knowledge of end-to-end supply management processes including competitive bidding, contract management, supplier performance management and life-cycle costing processes.
