Responsibilities:
- Providing advice and support on all aspects of corporate deals including strategy evaluation, structuring, financing and valuation.
- Handle group financing exercises and prepare business and financial proposals for Management, Board and Clients.
- Liaise with financial advisors, tax advisers and legal advisors.
- Originating and developing business opportunities for the Group including but not limited to mergers and acquisitions / corporate restructurings / capital raising and other corporate finance related services.
- Design and could or prepare financial models cash flow projections and budgets.
- Planning, implementing, preparing and/or reviewing underwriting proposals for corporate Finance / Group Strategy related assignments. Preparing board papers in respect of corporate finance exercises.
- Co-ordination of other professional involved in the corporate finance transactions.
Requirements:
- Degree in a finance related field or professional qualifications e.g. MIA / MACPA / ACCA / ICAA / ICAEW or its equivalent
- Minimum 5 – 10 years working experience with at least 5 years in corporate advisory / auditing / accounting or finance.
- High proficiency in financial modeling, financial analysis and preparation of cash flow projections.
- Good working knowledge of accounting standards and corporate governance.
- Knowledge of the rules, regulations and guidelines by SC, Bursa Malaysia, BNM and MITI and other guidelines relevant to corporate finance matters, would be a definite advantage.
- Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office (or equivalent) software in particular Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and risk management skills.
