Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and relevant schedules.
- Review and present financial statements, management reports, budget submissions, and variance analyses.
- Ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with MFRS, statutory requirements, and internal reporting guidelines.
Payment & Cash Management
- Review and verify payment documents prepared by subordinates prior to submission for approval and authorized signatories.
- Act as an online banking authorizer for assigned companies and banking platforms.
- Monitor cash flow positions and ensure adequate funding for operational requirements
Property Management/Investment Oversight
- Lead and manage the day-to-day finance operations of the subsidiary companies under the portfolio to ensure smooth workflow and timely reporting.
- Monitor rental collections, service charges, operating expenses, and related financial performance.
- Ensure accurate accounting and reporting for Joint Management Body (JMB) accounts and related matters.
Audit, Tax & Stakeholder Liaison
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers, company secretaries, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and corporate governance requirements.
- Coordinate and manage audit and tax matters, including timely submission of information and resolution of queries.
- Coordinate property valuation matters, including liaising with external valuers and ensuring timely completion for audit and corporate exercise purposes.
People Management & Compliance
- Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to team members to ensure productivity and adherence to deadlines.
- Ensure all subordinates comply with established policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Other Duties
- Undertake additional tasks and assignments as directed by Top Management and/or Directors.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, MICPA, CIMA) or currently pursuing will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant working experience in finance and accounting, preferably with prior audit background
- Prior experience in property investment / property management accounting will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS) and statutory compliance requirements.
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and prepare management reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility.
